You Know, For Kids

One of the core values at Bendyworks is to do whatever we can to bring underrepresented groups into tech. It fits well with our mission statement: SHARE JOY and SUCCESS in our CRAFT.

Over the past year or so, we've jumped at opportunities to talk to kids about being in tech, answering questions about what we do on a daily basis and discussing the advantages to this fantastic industry. In fact, we've spoken to students at Cherokee Middle School, St. Peter's Elementary School, Girl's Inc at Goodman Center, LaFollette High School, UW–Madison, and Write Middle School… all since the start of 2017.

We've loved hearing questions about our favorite part of being in tech, how we got here, and if this is what we wanted to be when we grew up. We are hoping that as many kids want to be coders as rock stars and astronauts!
